  • Florence Henderson - While working as a rooms manager at the Chase-Park Plaza Hotel in St Louis, I met many stars. After meeting Florence when she arrived, I decided to bring my two young nieces to meet her. As they saw her coming, their eyes lit up as they saw "Mrs. Brady". She couldn't have been nicer to all of us and my nieces, both in their 30's now, remember it as if it were yesterday. She was great.

  • Frankie Avalon - I was at Bradley University in 1958 when my girlfriend, Carol, found out that Frankie was in Peoria, Illinois. We got real lucky when we discovered him leaving in his limo from a theatre where he had been performing. Carol ordered me to take chase, and I managed to follow him to a motel where I guess he was staying. He quickly went inside and by the time I had parked my car and we ran to follow him, we literally ran into him as he came out again from around a blind corner. What an embarrasment! Carol quickly asked for an autograph but he looked really perturbed. He did finally give in to her wishes though. I did get a lot of points with Carol for that one though!

  • Maurice Gibb - I was working in Miami around 1979 and stopped in a sandwich shop for lunch. The place was deserted all but for one customer sitting at the end of the bar. I glanced over and noticed it was Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. This was at the height of their popularity and it was amazing to see him there having his lunch like a regular guy. I chose not to disturb him because he was entitled to enjoy his lunch just like anyone else. But I can always say I had lunch with one of the Bee Gees once! I was so sorry to hear of his passing a few years back.

  • Henry Winkler, Erin Moran - The cast had been in San Diego for some sort of benefit. It was about 30 years ago. My kids and I had been in LA and were on our way back to Vista and stopped at a Big Boy restaurant in El Toro. It was about 1 or 2am. I took a picture of Henry Winkler with my two sons who were about 5 & 6. Erin Moran took a picture with my daughter. She was going to give the boys a kiss but they didn't want to. She said that they would sure change their minds in about 10 years They were all very nice except for Ron Howard and he wasn't friendly at all. I still have the pictures and have decorated a bathroom in 50's decor and have the pictures in there. It makes good conversation when people see three of my kids with members of Happy Days cast.

  • Burgess Meredith - Sometime in the early '80s, I met this kind gentleman in Malibu, Ca. I was visiting the area in which he lived. He invited my brother and I for an iced tea. He lived in a beautiful one bedroom house on the beach. He showed me numerous items including autographs of his past co-stars. I remember his cat named Charlie. I was very fortunate to have that short time with such a great actor. I also was able to take home with me an autographed photo.

  • Dudley Moore & Susan Anton - Immediately after the 1983 Diana Ross concert in Central Park, I followed what seemed to be just a large group of fun-goers down Broadway towards Times Square. Once I got a good view of Dudley Moore and Susan Anton actually leading the crowd, it was FABULOUS!!! Only in NEW YORK!!!

  • Louie Armstrong - When I was about [?] we lived in Las Vegas, NV. A few of us kids would play out in the desert. One day we saw a man under a shade tarp and he was playing a trumpet. We didn't know who he was but we all sat around him and listened. After awhile my father came looking for me and he couldn't belive who we were with. But at the time I didn't know what the big deal was about.

  • John Cleese - On a return flight from London Heathrow to LAX in June '06. John is very good looking and very tall. No entourage, although there was another person on the flight he seemed to know and was chatting with. Went through immigration and customs in front of me; stood around waiting in the baggage claim area like everyone else. Seemed like a nice, unpretentious gentleman.
