Story 131
Gregory Peck - In the fall of 1990 I was given an opportunity to intern at CNN's then-show "Showbiz Today". As interns, we were able to go on a lot of ride-alongs to see the various reporters do their job. One day in particular, our interview was Gregory Peck, at his home in the Hollywood Hills. As everyone prepared for the interview, I sat down on a nearby couch, watching all that was happening. At that point, Mr. Peck called to me and asked if I wanted any water. When I responded no thank you he said "Are you sure? I could get my housekeeper to get you something?" (Keep in mind, he didn't ask anyone else.) Being that I was only 20 years old at the time, I didn't know much about him until years later, which I regret. He has now become one of my most favorite people of all time, mainly because in the craziness of all the interviews he was doing that day, he still had time to make sure I was ok.
