Frank Fontaine - April 19 1963 - I was an 11 year old at Freedomland in The Bronx. Before a performance, one of Mr. Fontaine's assistants spotted me doing a Crazy Guggenheim imitation, complete with the floppy hat. He brought me backstage, where Mr. Fontaine clowned with me after seeing my imitation - he had me in hysterics - gave me an autograph. What a kind gentleman and talent - beautiful voice from the face of a clown - inspired me to do some singing of my own. I hope he is always remembered well.
