George Lindsey - In 2004 I heard that George Lindsey was going to be at a mall in Marion, Illinois. I just had to go see "Goober" as I'm a huge fan of the Andy Griffith Show, he talked for awile and when they announced he would sign autographs I was about 10th in line. I took his autobiography for him to sign plus a couple trading cards. He was so surprised to see the book he was showing people around him, he signed the book and the cards and even came from behind the table and told a security guard to take our picture. He was truly friendly and nice and really appreciated that people loved his character.
