Peter Falk - Peter Falk came to our area because his hometown (Ossining or Tarrytown) was honoring him by naming a street after him. My dad is a huge Columbo fan and wanted to see him. I plotted to try to get a pic of my dad with Peter Falk. We drove over and took my mother, who has a form of dementia with us so we wouldn't leave her home alone. When Peter came to the street, there were loads of elderly people there waiting who went to high school with him. I got my dad placed in the line of motion of Mr Falk, but just as I was about to ask him to pause for a pic with my dad, my mom sprang to life and jumped out and hugged him. Falk was confused because there were so many old people there that he hadn't seen for many years, so he figured my mom was an old friend and politely played along, saying, "Oh, it's so great to see you again, after all these years" So instead of getting a pic of Falk with one of his long-time fans, I got one of my him hugging my mom, who really didn't know who he was. He was gracious to a fault.
