Shelley Fabares - About ten years ago, in Rock Island, Illinois, Shelley Fabares participated in a walk for Alzeimer's awareness (her mother had suffered from Alzeimer's disease). At the conclusion of the walk, she was signing autographs. Most of the people, of course, knew her from her role on "Coach." As she signed my visor, I told her that "most of these people know you as Christine Armstrong, but you'll always be 'Mary Stone' to me" (a reference to her role on the old "Donna Reed Show". She looked up, smiled and said "that's the sweetest thing anybody has said to me today." Sure made my day!
