Alex Haley - A date invited me to hear Mr. Haley give a talk at an auditorium in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After the talk, we went up to Mr. Haley to say hello. I also posed for a picture with him. In the photo he is looking at me as if he is admiring me. Actually, he was saying to me "Will you please keep still for the picture?" He was a very friendly person, and I have that picture to this day!
