Cantinflas - I was a young 19-year-old, and working for Columbia Motion Pictures in New York City. I was with a coworker in the building elevator returning to work from my lunch break, at which time my friend elbows me, and says to me "Cantinflas is standing behind us". Little, at the time, did I know the name Cantinflas (the Charlie Chaplan of Mexico, and the highest paid actor at the time, one million dollars for a movie). Stupid me, I blurted out "What's a cantinflas!?", only to turn around and see this distinguished-looking man, smile on his face, while he was curling the ends of his curled up mustache. Boy, was I ever so embarrassed.
