Eddie Van Halen - Around 1985, after a business meeting with Eddie and his attorney, to discuss the making of a new custom guitar for him, Eddie had to run off to band practice. At this time, he was running late. So he left immediately after the meeting, leaving me and my partner talking to his attorney for a few extra minutes. When we got down to the parking garage, Eddie was there, anxiously trying like hell to get ANY attendant's attention, so he could retrieve his car and still make band practice. Not getting any response from an attendant, he eventually retrieved his own car. Though now VERY late, he still stopped by the passenger loading area, waiting long enough for an attendant to finally show up, whereby he actually APOLOGIZED to the parking attendant for retrieving his own car. He inquired to the man, hoping that he didn't get the attendant in trouble for getting his own car. Exercising a level of courtesy and consideration so sincere for the man's job, like I had never seen before, or since. His humility and down to earth quality was so impressive, I've never forgotten the event. Especially for being the world famous 'Rocker', Eddie Van Halen.
